Ransomware: How to Protect your Small Business
Ara Aslanian will present a talk on the increasing need for cyber security education. You will learn about Ransomware, which is quickly becoming the crime of the 21st Century. The increasing number of attacks have made ransomware one of the biggest threats to security of small and medium businesses. We will cover why it’s so easy to become a target for these attacks and why businesses struggle to safeguard themselves from it. Learn about the tools and steps you need to take to protect yourself, your business and your wallet from falling victim to Ransomware attacks and E-mail Compromise scams. In addition to Ransomware, and E-mail Compromise scams, he will also go into detail on protection methods for IoT (Internet of Things) devices.
Ara Aslanian is the Founding Partner / CEO of Inverselogic Inc. Founded in 1998, Inverselogic provides Technology Consulting and Support and Cyber Security services. Recently, Mr. Aslanian founded reevert Storage, llc., a SaaS based startup focused on providing cloud based data backup, storage and recovery solutions. Mr. Aslanian attains an in-depth understanding of technology, e-Business strategies, consumer practices, revenue models, and high-speed networks and systems security. In addition to his day-to-day duties, Mr. Aslanian is Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Community Center of La Canada Flintridge, and also serves on the Verdugo Workforce Development Board and City of Glendale Tech Week committee. Mr. Aslanian has spoken at ASIS International Conference and more.
